JR Villar
JR Villar, is a Portuguese actor, director and 2011 EMMY® winning scriptwriter, with three different university degrees in design, television, cinema and performing arts, and also workshops by the Stella Addler Conservatory of New York, and the Musical Theatre Summer School at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama – London. As director, JR produced several plays in Portugal, highlighting Jesus Christ Superstar and Tim Burton’s "The Melancholy Death of the Oyster Boy". He also wrote more than 250 episodes for TV series. Moved to UK in 2011 João already was on stage as an actor and director in several productions in England. JR Villar lives in York, UK.
